Can you spare an hour to help tidy verges & footpaths, litter pick and dead-head daffodils?

Please bring gloves/rakes/wheelbarrows/bags

The Thriplow Daffodil Weekend Committee was honoured to have been awarded The Queen’s Award for voluntary service on Saturday 16 July.  The award was to the Thriplow Daffodil Weekend Committee for their outstanding voluntary service in relation to what was described as an exceptional village event.

Daffodil Weekend Celebration Dinner. Saturday 16th July, 7pm in the Green Man.

Following the Queens Award presentation, those having tickets for the dinner in the pub can retire there for a three course meal starting after 7pm. Tickets available in the shop, limited numbers so book early!

 


 
 

Daffodil Weekend Award Presentation. Saturday 16th July, 4.30pm-6.30pm, on the Village Green.

The Lord Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire will be presenting the Queens Award for Voluntary Service to the Daffodil Weekend Committee between 5 and 6pm on the Village Green. There will be a complimentary drink for everyone present, hopefully some live music in the background, and the Smithy will be open and working (see other news item). If it rains, we will either have tents or the event may be moved to the Village Hall.
