Open Smithy Day, Saturday 16th July, 1pm - 5.30pm, Smithy on the Village Green.
Every year, the Thriplow Society opens the Smithy for the people who worked on Daffodil Weekend to see the forge and a blacksmith in action. This year, our event has been timed to coincide with the Daffodil Weekend Award Presentation (see other news item) and so there will be a party going on on the Green, outside the Smithy. Come and see the blacksmith make horseshoes and other metal items. We will also have a display of interesting historical documents on show.
