Last year many visitors to Thriplow were keen to know the names of the daffodils in bloom over Daffodil Weekend. So this year a leaflet was produced showing a daffodil trail around the village.

We already have a solid research base on which to build but the temperamental weather of the past few seasons has taken its toll and we need to check out the situation.

Here’s where we need your help please.

Please take photographs of a clump of daffodils when they are at their best. It is also important for you to take a close-up of one bloom noting the location and the date which could be anytime in the Spring. We would prefer actual photographs which should be sent to me at Honeysuckle Cottage, Church Street Thriplow but e-mails are also acceptable to med590@PROTECTED. If you have planted daffodils yourself please let me know their name and location.

We can then use this information to produce an even better leaflet next year.
