Dear All
There is now just over a week to go until our day of celebration! We hope you’ve read the letter and previous email about the event and have seen some of the posters up around the village. If you’ve lost the information then just go to the village shop and find the relevant posters both inside and outside the shop.
The Feast
Tickets for the evening 4 course feast on the Green are selling fast and there is a limited number due to space as this is a sit-down meal. Do buy your tickets ASAP. Note THE LAST DAY ON WHICH YOU WILL BE ABLE TO BUY TICKETS IS MONDAY 28th MAY. Please sign up in the shop to bring a salad to share around as well.
The Grand Parade
We hope you’re planning to take part in the Parade at 3pm. Decorate your wheelbarrow, your bike, your go-cart or any other wheeled vehicle and come dressed up in red, white and blue or other Royal regalia. And if you’re too lazy to decorate a vehicle (shame on you!) then come and join in anyway and walk along with the parade. Don’t forget to wear your Fancy Hat if you’re entering the Hat Competition. You can talk to Jack Lindop at the village shop on Saturday 26 May if you have any queries about the Parade
Competitions
Don’t forget you can enter the posy, hat, bunting and cake competitions so get baking, sewing, making etc.
Other activities
There are so many things happening on the day that we can’t mention them all here but there will be bike time trials, a bouncy castle and the Smithy will be open between 3 and 5pm
Photography
If there is anyone out there who would like to take on the role of official photographer or to take an official video of the day’s events then please could you email Richard Webber at richard.j.webber@PROTECTED
Any ad hoc photos or video clips can in addition be sent after the event to Nick Wittering for the village website: -
“As webmaster for the village website, I would be grateful if you could collect any photos (that aren’t personal to you) and zip them up and send them to me so that I can create a gallery of the day. If the file is more than 10mb, please copy them to a cd or flash drive.
This way, those that will not able able to attend for whatever reason can view the day’s festivities online.”

We look forward to seeing you all on the day. Jubilee Committee
