Just a quick word of thanks to the shop for selling Raffle tickets on behalf of Thriplow School Ball and all those who came into the shop to buy tickets. The School is very lucky to have so much support from the local community when they hold the Ball and this year was no exception with a record figure amount made of nearly £13,500. The Raffle alone made £2181 and the Auction made £2735, this is only made possible by the kind donations of the local businesses such as the shop who donated to the Food Hamper which was the 1st Prize in the Raffle or Revivals who donated an MOT.

The Auction was also supported greatly by the Village and the surrounding area with businesses like Swimply the Best, New Malton Golf Club, Gog Magog, Heydon Grange, Fitness Works and Over, Melbourn and District Tennis Club and Over and In, Great Shelford all donating prizes. Other generous individuals who couldn't make it to the Ball gave private donations.

Whether you bought a Raffle ticket , gave a donation, helped clear away the next day or supported the Ball in anyway it is all greatly appreciated. The School will be developing a Nature Garden, purchasing some laptops and funding a few Educational Trips with the funds raised at this year's Ball.

Some of the funds from the sale of the Raffle Tickets are paying for a theatrical company to come along near Christmas time to perform 'Jack and the Beanstalk' to all the children, which I am sure will put everyone in good cheer for the Festive Season. The fact that we are in difficult financial times makes the benevolence shown truly remarkable - thank you to all.
