Daffodil Weekend 2014 will now be on 5th/6th April

This is advanced warning to let you all know that the date for the 2014 Daffodil Weekend is moving from 22/23 March to the weekend of the 5th/6th April*

This decision has not been taken lightly. Following extensive consultation the overwhelming feeling in the village is that a later date is preferred to maximise the chances of better weather.

I am pleased to have taken over as Chairman and the committee and I are very excited about next year’s weekend – there are lots of things already underway such as new catering and stall initiatives, changes in how we advertise and communicate and making sure that the event is fun for everyone who takes part and that everyone has the chance to take part!

Look out for further e-mails and posters introducing the new committee, bulb planting, cake making and more!
