Hi Folks
Just coming up to Christmas so a few things to let you know abut in the shop....
The ladies have been busy buying again and we have:
Christmas cards, including charity cards Christmas paper, bags of various sizes including really nice bottle bags, labels, Christmassy ribbon and twine. A good selection of reasonably priced candles Lots of Xmas chocolates and other confectionery, at very reasonable prices Lovely tinned Xmas cakes that would make terrific presents All the usual Christmas groceries like cheeses, stollen, puddings, stuffing etc And don't forget the Thriplow calendars and Thriplow cookbooks would make excellent stocking fillers
Extra items can be ordered if you need some but this should be done as soon as possible please, before our suppliers run out!
Please make use of the shop for some of your Xmas shopping – it is on your own doorstep and there is no queuing for the Park and Ride and no parking costs!
2. The 150 Club keeps going.
The latest winners were Linda Neeves, Diana Thomson and Mike Braithwaite. Congratulations to them all.
Now is the time to renew your membership otherwise the next draw will not have your entry. It costs just £15 per ball per year and there are £100 prizes drawn every month with only 150 balls in the draw so much better chance than premium bonds or the lottery! But you have to be in it to win it so please renew now.
If you want to join, or know a little bit more about it, please ask in the shop.
3. Stamps
Once again this year, we have stocked up on stamps, including quite a lot of Christmas stamps. Unfortunately, it will be first come, first served and we’ll try to keep pace with demand. Remember the shop makes profit by selling these so you are doing the shop a big favour by buying your stamps from us, rather than the Post Office!
4. Thriplow Wine Club
The new listing from Noel Young is out and about for selection and ordering. There are 7 menu options to choose from including reds, whites and mixed cases in three different price classes. Please order quickly to Kevin (or just reply to this mail) and he will make sure you get the wine well before any Christmas frivolities start.
As usual, Noel Young has selected some cracking, great value wines.
