Hello everyone

Tuesday sees a new beginning for the Green Man in Thriplow. We have terminated the lease of the former tenants - Murmur Ltd, run by Ben and Alex from The Hole in the Wall - and made an agreement with Sam Adams, their former manager of the Green Man, to take over. Sam will be bringing new chefs and menus to the pub and Diane will be back too. The new management will open for their first time on Tuesday lunchtime.

The handover should be seamless but it will of course be busy for everyone in the early days. This will not be made any easier because of Mother's Day and Daffodil Weekend coming along in the first three weeks! Nonetheless, during the Weekend, Sam will not only be operating food and drink from the pub, he will also be running a beer tent on the Taste of Thriplow field in Middle St.

This change was obviously not in our original plan but in Sam, we believe that we have a tenant who will run the pub in a way that suits the village and its needs, whilst attracting customers from further afield. We are happy that Sam is keen to take and act upon customer feedback, and to run special events that we think the customers will like. We are working with Sam to help him in his new venture, and we wish him luck in his new and exciting business.
