Hi all,

Daffodil Weekend is almost here!

Thanks to everyone who is working so hard to make Daffodil Weekend happen. Below are a few final reminders:

Cakes

· Please take your cakes to the village hall on Saturday morning · Please label your cake saying what it is and whether it contains nuts etc · Ideally cakes should be on a disposable paper plate or cardboard tray wrapped in foil. If you do use a plate please label it so it can be returned

Chairs

· If you have them please put out some chairs at the front– this always goes down very well with our visitors who comment on what a wonderful community spirit it shows

Rotas

· Thanks to all of you helping out – you should all be aware of your places on the rotas. More helpers are always welcome – it’s not too late to volunteer!

Chilli

· It is traditional for the helpers involved in Daffodil Weekend to meet at the pub at 7.30 for a chilli and review of the weekend. The cost of this chilli is £5. Please let your team leader or functional head know if you want to take part. We need to give the pub the numbers

E mails

· We are conscious that we have sent a lot of e mails in the last few days about Daffodil Weekend – thank you for your patience. Next year we aim to be more controlled in the use of e mail and will send fewer. We are also planning to create a Daffodil notice board somewhere in the village with all the latest information on so you can consult this when you need

Thriplow is a beautiful village with a fantastic sense of community – we are all very lucky to live here and we share proud and pleased that we can share it with so many visitors over the weekend

Thanks for all you work and good luck!
