Daffodil weekend – free bulbs

Once again we are providing free bulbs to residents of the village. These are for you to plant where you like in the village as long as they are visible to our visitors ie please don’t put them in your back garden!

Pick up your bulbs from the shop now. Supplies are limited and please consider others may want bulbs too when picking yours up. You will be asked to register the number you take and where you propose to plant them.

Now is the ideal time to plant!

For info we are working on a much more sophisticated bulb planting initiative for next year with the gardening club, parish council etc. The aim will be to totally refresh the planting all around the village ready for the 50th daffodil weekend. At this time we will also plant some swathes of the new “Thriplow Gold” variant of daffodils bred specially for us! More details will be available later in the year
