Hi all,
Merry Christmas from Daffodil Committee!
A quick e mail to wish you all well for the festive season and to update you on some of the details on next years event
Date
Daffodil Weekend 2015 will be taking place on 21/22 March - please put this on your calendars now!
Communication
A new website has been created – please have a look at
http://thriplowdaffodils.org.uk/
All details about the event can be found on the website along with booking forms for stalls, coaches etc which also allows electronic payments to be made. If you receive any queries about these then please direct them to the website We have also created some new e mail addresses for the committee so you can get in touch directly. The key ones are
admin@PROTECTED
coaches@PROTECTED
stalls@PROTECTED
catering@PROTECTED
We are also aiming to post all regular communication on the fence next to the shop
Stalls at home
Daffodil Weekend offers individuals the opportunity to have a stall at home to raise money for particular charitable causes. However if too many of us focus on our own personal fundraising we will not have the resources to support the main event and we will all lose out. Thus we would greatly appreciate it if you would let us know if you are thinking of having a stall at home by e mailing stalls@PROTECTED and also by offering the main Daffodil Weekend charity a discretionary 10% of your takings. It would also be useful if you could give us an indication of the amount you raise over the weekend so we can calculate a grand total of money raised for charity (not just the money raised directly for the official event charity). If you wish to run a commercial stall then please apply in a formal manner through the website
Volunteering and open gardens
We would really welcome your help with the event – we will be contacting as many of you as we can directly but please feel free to approach us! Open gardens are very popular with our visitors so please consider opening yours – it does not have to be a “show garden” our visitors are keen to see all types of garden!
