Hi everyone!

A good start to the year for the shop, here is the latest:

1. We have two new Committee Members
2. Our new till is ready to install
3. 150 Club winners
4. Daffodil Weekend arrangements
5. Date for our AGM is set
6. We have two new Committee Members. We are pleased to welcome Hannah Roberts and Margaret Jackson to the committee. Both have been volunteers for a while and have already adopted new duties and you will see more of them in the shop in future. Give them a thank you when you see them, their help will be important to keep the shop going nicely.
7. We have chosen and purchased our new computer and till system. It has been subsidised by Daffodil Weekend money granted last summer, so we thank the Trust and Committee for that input. It is too close now to Daffodil Weekend to make the switchover and we need to make sure everyone is trained up and supervised before we expect it to work smoothly, so we will wait until the end of March or into April before transferring over. The new system is simpler but different so PLEASE be patient with us in our learning phase!
8. January and February 150 Club Winners – were William Russell and Rita Dennison. Other winners of smaller prizes were John Keyworth, Walt Aldred, Katie Hilton, John Smith and Alice Holmes. Thanks to everyone for taking part, the next draw will be in March.
9. Daffodil Weekend arrangements will be as usual. We will be open from 8am on both days till after 5pm. But from 11am until after 4pm, there are likely to be queues. It is best to come and collect your papers and groceries before 11am on either day please. This allows you to be served quicker and for us to then concentrate on the visitors. The weekend is vital for our finances and we are all hoping for good weather.
10. Our AGM will be on Wednesday 24th June. All subscribers to the shop are invited to come along. More information will be posted nearer the date.
