In the last two weeks at least two people in the village have purchased items from a man who was cold calling. The items concerned are expensive Swiss made sets of cutlery, kitchen pans and chef’s knife sets. The seller said he was Swiss (or in the second case Dutch) was young, well dressed and drove an expensive foreign registered car. In both cases he said that he had been making genuine sales in the area and had some excess stock which he wanted to sell off so he could then return home to the continent. He sold the items at considerably below their normal price. Be aware!
