SPEEDWATCH SCHEME

A number of volunteers have successfully completed the training for the Speedwatch Scheme today, Saturday 9th September. Should anyone else like to support this scheme, the training dates are listed below:

PLEASE NOTE: It is only necessary to attend ONE SESSION (a convenient date of your choice) Saturday 14 October OR
Saturday 11 November OR
Saturday 9 December

Please can you give some consideration as to whether you could spare an hour or so, pehaps fortnightly, to try and improve the problem of vehicles speeding through the village. A few more volunteers would be great and it would make it a less onerous task for everyone. The Police feedback shows a marked reduction in speeding once the scheme is operational and I am sure all of us would wish to improve this situation.

The Police will be making a Risk Assessment of the village to identify the speeding hot spots and I will keep you informed of our progress.
