Hi,

I thought people may appreciate knowing how the fundraising is going for the Cornerstone Classroom Project and to gain a little insight into how the fundraising works.

The majority of the funds needed in order to extend Thriplow Village School will be sourced potentially through the Diocese, the Local Education Authority, Educational Grants and Commercial Donations - each of these organisations will look at what the school has done in order to raise funds themselves and to see how the parents and the local community have embraced the project. The more we can do to show our enthusiasm and commitment to the Cornerstone Classroom Project the more persuasive it will be when they decide on whether to donate and how much to give. We have made a brilliant start with the Rounders Game at the weekend. The upcoming 'Matters of the Heart' Dinner on 19th October sold out of tickets very quickly - thank you to all who bought tickets. Whether you have bought tickets or not there are still plenty of ways you can contribute and help:

Raffle

There will be a raffle at the dinner on 19th October with some fantastic prizes including:

£50 Voucher for the Green Man, Thriplow A lunch or dinner for 2 at the Queen's Head, Newton An MOT at Revivals
£25 voucher for La Raza
A Bottle of Pinksters Gin
A magnum of prosecco and other wonderful prizes

Whether you are attending the dinner or not you can still buy raffle tickets from the school office or from Thriplow Village Shop from Wednesday 4th October. Raffle Tickets are £5 a strip.

Lucky Draw Donation

Enormous thanks to all who have already handed in their small brown envelopes for the Lucky Draw Donation - we have raised £630 so far!

It would be amazing if we could raise £1000.00 so if you are meaning to enter the Lucky Draw Donation and haven't done so yet please do hand your envelopes with your £10 donation enclosed into the School Office or Thriplow Village Shop. Remember you stand a good chance of winning one of the amazing prizes kindly donated by KWS - 1st Prize £100 Cash, 2nd Prize £50 Cash, 3rd Prize £25 Cash.

Silent Auction

Whether attending the 19th October Dinner or not you can still bid on some of the excellent Lots which have been generously donated by members of the local community. Please see the attached Auction List for details of how to bid.
