Hi everyone

I hope this mail reaches all the entrants to the pub sign competition which recently closed and has now been judged, but if you know of someone who entered that may not be on the circulation list, please would you pass on this news for me?

We had 36 entries, from 20 different people. There was a huge variety of ideas and designs and we had fun judging them all. The entries were anonymised by Helen in the shop who had the master list of which entry was by which person, so that the judges didn't know whose entry they were looking at.

After due consideration, the winner is Zib Gotto. Congratulations to her! She wins a voucher for the pub donated by the owners of the pub and a magnum of champagne from Corney and Barrow. We are presently working out how Zib's design will be manufactured to be the most striking and resilient form of sign that we can make. This make take some time but we will announce it when the sign is ready for mounting.

The other entries are all available for return to their artists, if they want them back. I shall keep them for three weeks and then dispose of any that have not been collected. Please let me know if you want yours back and I will place it in the shop with Helen so you can collect it.
