Hi everyone, here is our latest news including Christmas specials….

  1. Christmas bargains
  2. Thriplow and Fowlmere Calendars
  3. Christmas Stamps available now
  4. 150 Club and Christmas Raffle
  5. Tickets for the Big Band Concert
  6. We are beginning to stock the shop with Christmas goods now…. We have wrapping paper, including extra wide format paper, Christmas cards (we have bought our cards from four charities - Barnardo’s, Marie Curie, Cancer Research UK, Sense), stocking filler toys and Panettone - ours are much cheaper than the same items you can buy in the local supermarkets, but get them early, we might not be able to restock.

  7. We have been selling Fowlmere calendars for a few weeks, the Thriplow calendars will be in the shop soon, so look out for them.

  8. We have started selling Christmas stamps now. We have loads of Christmas firsts and seconds again this year but if you want a large number, please let one of the staff know and we’ll bring them to the shop and reserve them for you. Remember these are the same price as in the post office, but we make the profit on them, so these are very useful to our Christmas turnover.
  9. Winners of the November 150 Club draw were Colin Archibald, Ali Parkes, Kerstin Rivett and Mike Braithwaite. Congratulations to them all. That was the final draw in the year that everyone has paid their stakes for, unless you have paid for next year, please remember to do so or if your ball is drawn in November’s draw, you won’t be able to claim your prize. Just £15 for each entry for a whole year!

Oh and don’t forget to buy a few numbers in the Christmas Raffle, top prizes include a turkey from Dellar’s and a free MOT from Revivals. The draw will take place in early December.

  10. We are still selling tickets for the Blue Skies Big Band Concert that will take place in Fowlmere Village Hall on Saturday 11th November. Tickets are £12 each and proceeds go to St Mary’s Church Fowlmere.

That’s all folks….

Kevin
