Hello Everyone,

It’s wonderful to have The Green Man open inside and taking reservations once again! (email to book: thegreenmanthriplow@PROTECTED)

Of course there are still many restrictions placed on our offering and rules to abide by, and so our service is a little different than before. We have an online ordering system, with ordering being done through our website, and we don’t lean over your table to drop off your food and drinks, instead placing them on a ‘drop table’ nearby for you to collect. I believe these processes make dining out as safe as possible for both our lovely customers and the team, while still maintaining The Green Man charm.

Currently a ‘substantial meal’ must be bought when consuming alcohol and so we always have a £5 stew available which is ideal if you want to pop in for a pint or a glass of wine. Our menu is small (see example below) but samples some of our amazing Thriplow reared Belted Galloway beef, Miles & Ali Parkes’ lamb, alongside fresh fish and hearty vegetarian options. Our delicious roasts are back on Sundays and we are now also offering tea, coffee & freshly baked cakes & scones all day, and breakfast rolls from 10am-12pm Saturday and Sunday.

If we remain in Tier 2 our December opening hours will be as follows:

11th 11am-9.30pm

12th 10am-9.30pm

13th 10am-6.30pm

18th 11am-9.30pm

19th 10am-9.30pm

20th 10am-6.30pm

24th 10am-6.30pm

26th 12pm-9.30pm

27th 10am-6.30pm

31st 12pm-9.30pm

If (fingers crossed) we move merrily into Tier 2 these times will be updated and extended to allow for festive drinks.

Thanks for all your support, from everyone at The Green Man & Chequers we wish you a merry Christmas and all the best for the new year,

Chris and the amazing team!
