Results from The Spring Quiz - fundraising for St. George’s
A huge thank you for helping fundraise for St. George’s Church, Thriplow. An incredible 72 households took part!
An amazing £1,058.00 was raised - which increases to £1,302.50 when we include the Gift Aid you've allowed us to claim. We really do appreciate your generosity and enthusiasm. Very many thanks to you all.
And now for the PRIZES!
1) The ‘Hamper’ of goodies:
Pip and Sean McGarry won the random draw from all the participating households
2) The highest achieving scores:
We had 5 questionnaires all achieving an equal highest score: 47 points out of a potential 49 points.
The 5 were from:
Carol and John Deed
Margaret and Kit Jackson
Pauline, Andy and James Walker
Rebecca Rushbrook and family
Sarah Nolasco and family
So Richard and I have had to select from these 5 based on the tie breaker - wonderful drawings, limericks, poems were created by so many of you.
It was certainly a very tricky decision! So much so that we now have 2 prizes to award (it was too difficult to select just one!)
And the two prizes go to……

Sarah Nolasco and family - with a picture and words by Sarah
3) The child/youngsters prize…..
All the entries were delightful - and again decision making was so tricky we are awarding three prizes rather than just one!

Leo Stronach
4) And we have an additional prize prompted by the strong creative writing of The Elgars who didn’t quite get the highest score BUT we loved their poem.
