Dear Everyone,

Di, Max, Dan and I really want to say thank you to all for your support over the last few days as we have put everything together to get the pub up and running, especially Mary, Gemma and Caroline - we could not have done it without you. It has been great to get so many takers for the full lunch menu and dinner, and to receive the compliments already. The four real ales and the wines are also going down well.

Starting on Monday we will be open for morning coffee and cake every day as well, so do not hesitate to drop in for a little R&R (push chairs and toddlers welcome!).

It is really pleasing that Dan has found his feet so quickly in the kitchen, producing some great dishes. I am working hard to find my feet as the landlord and my challenge at the moment is to make sure we bring in some more good people on the team. At present we are looking for:

· Chefs or Cooks to work with or train with Dan in the kitchen. We are considering various work arrangements so if you are interested please do not hesitate to get in touch to discuss options.

· Part time kitchen porters / pot washers
