Hi all,
Daffodil Weekend is nearly here! Thanks to all of you who are working hard to make this event happen. Below are a few final pieces of information you may need:
Village tidy up
There will be a village tidy up on Sunday 15th. Please meet at the smithy at 2pm with bin liners etc if you can spare half an hour or so. Neil Rowland Hall will assign tasks and areas to cover. It’s an ideal way to spend mothers day! If you cannot make this time please could you just look at the area in front of your property or along your road and bin any litter
Cakes
All cakes to be dropped off in the meeting room at the Village Hall either by
· 9.30 am on the Saturday morning or
· Friday afternoon between 5 and 6.30 pm
If you can’t make those times, please contact Gill McDonnell (209180) to make alternative arrangements
Please remember to label your cakes (a cocktail stick and sticky label style flag would work). Also, remember to put your full name on any plates/trays that you leave with us, so we can ensure their safe return to you. There will be some paper plates left out if you would prefer not to leave your own plate. All used plates will be left in the meeting room for collection.
Once again, very many thanks to all those who have been busy baking!
Pub opening
This year the pub will be open on the Saturday night for food and drinks
Documentary filming
There will be a documentary team filming the event this year. This is to produce a DVD of the event that will be available to buy (more details to follow). We are also hoping to use this as part of the advanced publicity for the 50th Daffodil Weekend when we may try to get on TV! The film makers have been instructed to seek permission from anyone they wish to film and will not film you unless you provide this permission.
Thanks
