7. As usual, we will hold a late night opening evening to help those who work during the day to get stocking fillers, wrapping paper, cards, decorations and other Xmas presents from the shop. We have a wide variety of gifts and we will be giving complimentary mulled wine and mince pies away while you peruse your purchases! We will also be drawing the winners of the Christmas Raffle - see Sue or Helen if you haven't got a ticket! The evening we’ve chosen is Tuesday 2nd December and we will be open until 8pm. Do come and say hello.

Don’t forget you can buy stamps from the shop. If you want some Christmas stamps, please put your order in asap and we’ll try to fulfill your request.

3. Christmas Opening Hours

We will be open as follows over Christmas and New Year:

4. On Boxing Day, we will open from 9-11am so that you can collect your newspapers. HOWEVER if you have a reserved newspaper, please confirm to the shop or by replying to this email that you WILL be collecting it on the day. If you don’t do this, we cannot guarantee that it will be available. This is to reduce the effort needed by the volunteer who will give up their Boxing Day morning to serve you. You don’t need to do anything if you won’t be collecting your paper.

5. We have got a Thriplow Wine Club round active at the moment. If you haven’t had the invitation to order wine from us (supplied by Noel Young in Trumpington), then please reply to this mail and you will get the selections mailed in reply. If you have the selections already, please get your order in as I need to place our order to get deliveries to you by mid-December. Cut off date will be 3rd December.

6. I forgot to announce that Brenda Perry, Hannah Roberts and Michael Moule were winners in October’s draw. Pretty much everyone has renewed their stake in the next year’s draws and these draws start with the first of the new year this week. If you want to enter and have not already done so, please ask at the shop.
