Hi folks, news from Thriplow Shop

  1. Newspaper reservations – a request
  2. 150 Club winners
  3. Daffodil Weekend and Village Video
  4. New range of Gluten free products
  5. Our AGM is coming up
  6. Newspaper reservations. As the summer holiday season is approaching we’d like to remind those who have reserved newspapers, especially at the weekend, about collecting pre-ordered newspapers and ask that any cancellations are notified to the shop at least 24 hours beforehand. Newspapers should be collected by 11am at weekends unless you phone to say you will be late collecting, or you have told us you will pay for the paper anyway. We’d like to remind you that we may charge for uncollected papers. However, there is a bigger reason for this request, and it is because if we send back uncollected papers, Smiths won’t send us more, despite the fact that we have been turning away customers because we haven’t got any spare. Please help us with this.
  7. 150 Club Winners for May. These were John Keyworth, Eric Fisher, Margaret Wright and Terry Charlton. Congratulations to all of them.
  8. We have a few DVDs of the Daffodil Weekend in the shop, available for £10 each. These have been produced by a semi-professional couple and apart from interviews with many people about Daffodil Weekend, also feature lots of footage of the kids in the school. Funds go mainly to the filmers but 20% goes to Daffodil Weekend and it is a good record of the school and the village.
  9. We have a new display of Gluten free products. If you, or someone in your family suffers from Gluten intolerance, please take a look at what we have – it is all on the top shelf of the central rack of steel shelves (above the Gluten-rich cakes!) If there is something else that you would like, just ask.
  10. The shop AGM will be held on Thursday June 23rd – yes that is the referendum day - but we’ve booked the Thriplow Village Hall and the AGM will start at 8pm.

That’s all folks...

Kevin and TVSA
