Hi everyone, some good news to report so here it is...
- The shop had its second best ever month in March
- The end of the paper £5 note
- Thriplow Folk Evening
- 150 Club winners
- Upcoming Wine Club round
- March 2017 was the second best ever month for Thriplow Shop and only the second time we took over £20,000 in a month. This has obviously been influenced by reasonably good, but not quite record takings over Daffodil Weekend, but it builds on a good January to set us going well for the year. And, thanks to all our staff and volunteers for making the Daffodil Weekend such a success this year.
- The old style £5 note will no longer be legal tender after 5th May, so we will not be taking them after 3rd May because we have to get any handed over at the last minute to the bank. Please rustle through your pockets and purses and get those old notes down to the shop in the next few days – don’t be caught with them after the 5th.
- We are selling tickets for the Thriplow Folk evening to be held at the Village Hall on Saturday 29th April. Just ask at the shop.
- 150 Club winners in March were Brian Robertson, Barry Radley and Brenda Smith (formerly Perry). Congratulations to all of them.
- I have asked Noel Young to put forward his suggestions for the next round of the Wine Club, watch out for this in your inbox soon, and if you're not in the wine club but want to be, just let me know. No commitment required.
That’s all for now
Kevin
