Dear all,

We appear to be in the middle of a spate of attacks by lead thieves, in Suffolk and South Cambridgeshire.

Several attacks on churches have been thwarted in the past few days, but one church south of Cambridge has suffered a catastrophic loss with their roof lead being stolen..

The Cambridgeshire Rural Crime Action Team at RCAT@PROTECTED are working on the case,but we are asking the local community to be vigilant and if you see anything suspicious in the locality of Saint George's Church then we would appreciate an immediate call to one of the churchwardens, as follows:
