To all those who knew Barbara and have been asking after her recently the sad news is that she died peacefully at her care home yesterday morning (21st). She had lived in Thriplow since 1967. She was a parish councillor for over 40 years and was a member of the village hall committee for longer than I can remember. She also was a leading light in TADS – performing, directing and organising the choreography. She served for some time as a Thriplow school governor and on the Daffodil weekend committee. She was also very involved with the Altzheimers Society and Dementia and received an MBE for her services.
The following has been received from her son Chris and you will see that he has asked me to pass it on:-
We have a website for people to share memories, and we're planning to use it to arrange a proper send-off next year. Please do join us there, and pass this along to anyone you think would like to come.
