I am looking for a qualified book-keeper to take over the job of keeping the books and calculating the quarterly VAT for the company that owns the Green Man.  Our current book-keeper is retiring and closing her business.  It is a very simple task which has taken 2 hours per quarter so far.  We issue about 4 invoices per quarter, pay probably less than 1 invoice per quarter and that's it.  We have someone who does the annual accounts. Saint George‘s Church Annual  Lecture : “Forgery — the artful crime!“ An illustrated lecture by John Keyworth, Curator of the Bank of England Museum (1986 to 2013). Some glimpses into forgery of Bank of England notes from 1694 to the Second World War. Thursday, 13th February. 7pm for 7:30 pm. The subject of the February talk on Thursday February 20th (in Thriplow Village Hall, 8pm) has been changed. Phillipa MacGarry can no longer give us her talk owing to pressure of work. Instead Shirley Wittering will give us a talk entitled, 'This Enclosure Business' .
