Dear residents, Please note that tickets for the *Springtime Concert to be held on 1**st** May at 7.30 pm at St George’s Church*, *are now available at the Village Shop. The ticket price, to include a glass of wine, is £8 for adults and free admission for children*.  All proceeds from this concert will go towards the *Thriplow School Cornerstone Project*, to raise funds towards the building of new classrooms for our village school. *_Dead heading!_* Why not go for a walk round the village this evening to enjoy the lovely spring weather and perhaps dead head some daffodils at the same time… This is the most important time of year when the daffodils need some care and attention. *‘Never a dull moment!’ –  Simon White* Simon is the Garden Centre Manager at Peter Beale Roses but tonight he will talk about keeping interest in the garden throughout the year.  Naturally this will include roses but he will also give us tips on plants to use throughout all the seasons.  This talk has been very well-received by members of several local Gardening Clubs. Hi all On behalf of the Tearoom Trio responsible for running the Daffodil Weekend tearooms, we have a lot of huge thank yous to say to everyone that helped out. Whether you baked cakes, kept the urns filled and boiling, poured tea, moved or cleared tables, made sandwiches etc, we couldn't have done it without you. It takes a lot of volunteers to keep things running smoothly. /Sadly, two stall holders attending Daffodil Weekend reported theft of goods from their stalls overnight on Saturday 23rd March. The stalls in question were sweet stalls based in the School Marquee and both noticed items missing first thing on Sunday morning. If you saw anything suspicious on Saturday night, please get in touch with the Daffodil Weekend Committee.
