Village Message from St Georges Church, Annual Meeting

Dear Parishioners,  You are invited to attend The Annual Meeting of Parishioners and the Annual Parochial Church Meeting which will take place on Monday 1st April at Thriplow School, commencing at 7.30pm. Hi all, *_Thanks!_* Another Daffodil Weekend has passed. Firstly I must apologise for all of the disruption Daffodil Weekend causes – it is the one weekend of the year when our village goes crazy. A huge thanks to all of you who helped out – we had over 400 volunteers this weekend and it is great to see many helpers from neighbouring villages as well as friends and family from further afield. Village Message about a Scam in Sawston, beware!

February 18th 2019

Hello all My next door neighbour was scammed by a couple who said the lady was poorly could she have a glass of water, while he was giving her some water at the kitchen door her partner gained entry at the front door and stole stuff. This couple were in a red car. The police are asking people to take extra care and watch out for cars moving slowly up and down roads casing the properties, please let them know of anything suspicious. Village Message from Thriplow Village Hall Committee

Dear All, Attached is a poster advertising a Thriplow Ceilidh which the Village Hall Management Committee are organising to raise funds for the village hall. A hot meal is included in the ticket price and there will also be a bar. As plenty of floor space will be needed for the Ceilidh numbers will be limited to 60 so please get your tickets early to avoid disappointment. Dear Thriplow residents and friends, On behalf of the Thriplow Society we are trying to fill a rota for being on duty at the open Smithy on Daffodil Weekend this year. We realise you are all very busy with many things over that weekend, but please can you spend an hour at the Smithy on Saturday or Sunday.  If several people do a short stint then no-one has to be there all afternoon or morning It is mainly for safety and security reasons.
