Dear Parishioners, At 9.30 am this coming Sunday morning there will be a Celebration Service at St George’s Church, as we start the celebration of 50 years of Daffodil Weekend. You are warmly invited to come along and join us for this service, at which we will be accompanied by the choir from St Mary’s, Fowlmere. Next meeting.  Gods in the Garden (Statues, of course!) – Michael Brown Michael, the Historic Gardener, provides talks and displays on gardening from the Roman period to the 1940’s ‘Dig for Victory’ campaign. He gives a fascinating insight into the gardens, plants and tools of bygone times. Michael will give us a talk on ‘Gods in the Garden’ – Why statues were placed in gardens throughout history and the myths behind them. We are attracting visitors from far and wide and they are full of praise for our beautiful and friendly village.
