Village Message from Neighbourhood Watch

November 26th 2017

On Friday 24th November between 9 am & 12 noon a car was broken into outside the school and a handbag was stolen. It is a tan coloured ‘Osprey’ bag with shoulder strap, popper fastening, 2 tassels on the front and a zip pocket on the back. If anyone finds the bag please can you hand it in at the school. Another set of travellers have moved onto the land next to the Pet Crematorium. The police and our County Councillor are aware and are dealing with this. Village Message from David Walston

November 10th 2017

Hi All, I was disappointed to read the email concerning the cricket pitch which went out tonight. I feel like this will harm the village significantly as so many people use and enjoy this space in the middle of the village. Therefore, starting from Monday afternoon, we will be opening up the meadow on the south edge of School Lane, where Taste of Thriplow is held on Daffodil Weekend, for public access. You can also see the exact location by clicking on this link: https://goo.gl/maps/fR8H5tgmzF92 Please feel free to ...Continue Reading

In the long term that hopefully will not change. However the ground is privately owned and not a ‘village amenity’ and, with the current Grain Store Planning Application meaning 36 more houses being potentially built close by, the village will need to have more land made available to ...Continue Reading
