At St Georges Church Thriplow Sunday 17th September; United Harvest Festival for Thriplow and Fowlmere. Coffee and croissants available from 10am,so come early for a chat. Service starts at 10.30am. All ages will be very welcome. Donations of produce/dry goods/cans will be given to Jimmys night shelter in Cambridge. A collection will also be taken for Marys Meals. Hope to see you Sunday. Police Speedwatch Scheme We are looking for volunteers to attend Speedwatch training in an attempt to control the speeding vehicles through Thriplow Village. We already have 5 volunteers, but a few more would certainly help and make the task less onerous. The training is held at Cambourne Police Station on the following Saturdays (from 10:00 am to 12 noon) : 9th September, 14th October, 11th November and 9th December. A message for cyclists and walkers in the village who may be interested in visiting some of the historic churches in the area. On Saturday, 9th September the Cambridgeshire Historic Churches Trust, Ride and Stride event will be taking place between 10 am and 6pm.
