I thought the village may like to be informed that we had an 'ex offender' knock the door on Wednesday evening saying he was trying to change his life. I think he was selling tea towels etc. Anyway the dog didn't like him and was rather growly. The chap became rather unpleasant. We currently have thousands of sunflowers on Perrins - a field out the back of Thriplow next to the Cambridge Road. There are sheep in part of the field, but not in the northern end. A new phishing campaign which has hit students of UK universities claims that the student has been awarded an educational grant by the Department for Education. The email purports to have come from the finance department of the student’s university and tricks the recipient into clicking on a link contained in the message to provide personal and banking details.
