Urgent! Lawn alert – Chafer grubs! We are aware that we are not alone in the village in suffering an infestation of Chafer grubs in our garden lawn. These grubs feed exclusively on grass roots thus destroying the lawn! The problem needs to be treated village-wide as these grubs are spread very easily to neighbouring gardens. We suggest you look at your lawn for tell-tale signs. Hi all, Daffodil Open Meeting Wednesday 9th July A quick reminder that the open meeting is taking place on Wednesday night at 8pm in the Village Hall. A resident in Hartford (Huntingdon) has reported a suspicious call. A company rang stating they are carrying out a survey on behalf of the Council. They knew the person's name, address and phone number and wanted to arrange a home visit. The resident did not agree to anything and instead rang Cambridgeshire County Council Customer Contact Centre to check if it was genuine. Friends of St Mary's, Fowlmere are holding their annual Family BBQ at Newlands, London Road, Fowlmere on 28th June from 4pm - 8pm. There will be food (BBQ, salads and puddings) a huge bouncy castle - for all ages and childrens activities included in the price of the ticket.
