Dear All, Last week you should have received an e-mail telling you of an Extraordinary Parish Council meeting – no, don’t switch off – this is important so please read to the end - to be held on 3rd November in the village hall at 8pm. The purpose of the meeting is to consider the safety of the A505 / Gravel Pit Hill junction and what might be done to make improvements here. Christmas is coming! We are bringing in the Christmas stock items now and we hope you will find these useful for stocking fillers and gifts for the family. We also have our Christmas cards and Christmas stamps in the shop now. We're having an open house All Hallows' party outside our house on the 31st October and all the kids and big kids in the village are welcome to join us. I don't want anyone to feel left out just because we don't know them yet or don't have their contact details. It's a bring a pumpkin party so we can line them up for all to see from The Green. Thank you to all who supported Thriplow Film night with the screening of 'Eddie the Eagle'; an inspirational film although it has not inspired me to take up ski jumping! It was a really fun evening and it was wonderful to see Thriplow residents, parents from the school and local friends come together for a chat before the film; it was also hugely appreciated how everyone helped with the clearing up, thank you.
