Hello everyone I'm sorry to say that our shop computer disk crashed this morning and it appears the computer cannot be restarted. The service people will fix it but this might take until tomorrow to do so. If that is the case, we will not open the shop tomorrow (Saturday). We apologise for that. Hopefully, everything can be fixed today but we don't yet know when the service engineer will come, although the service manager just called me to say they hoped to be with us by 6pm tonight. Hi all, Can you spare an hour on Sunday morning? We are having brand new topsoil delivered on Friday to reshape the triangles. This will be placed in small heaps all over the triangles. We need to spread it out, even it up and put down new grass seed. This should be a relatively easy job as the soil will have been sifted and broken up – and even easier if there are lots of us to help. Message on behalf of Daffodil Weekend Committee and Thriplow Parish Council Dear all, A plan to rejuvenate our village daffodils for the 50th Daffodil Weekend In the next few weeks we will start work to create world class displays of daffodils on our verges and triangles. The Harvest Festival service will take place at St George’s Church in Thriplow this Sunday 27th September from 10.30am with refreshments and the service will start at 11am. It will be a joint service with the congregation from Fowlmere, and we hope that many from both villages will join us for the service as learn how the local Harvest has been this year and give thanks for all God’s gifts to us. Ahead of The Battle of Britain Anniversary Air Show this weekend, IWM Duxford has released some important safety information that it wishes to share with local residents: IWM Duxford takes great care to ensure its air shows are as safe as possible for everyone involved. It is not safe to occupy the fields immediately south of the runway during the air show. If you do so you are putting yourself and the display pilots in harm’s way.
