Pick up your free bag of bulbs and planting instructions from the shop now! Hi all, Our village is famous for the beautiful display of daffodils we have in the spring. We want next year to be even better than ever. Pick up a free bag of bulbs from the shop to plant in your garden. In exchange can you please plant a few of them on the verge near your house (or somewhere else you think they would look nice in the village). Dear friends in Thriplow, I’m writing to say thank you to everyone who supported me on the journey to my Kilimanjaro charity climb. It was the hardest thing I have ever done but I am happy to say I reached the summit, and I feel very lucky to have been able to take part in such an amazing experience! I have attached a couple of photos of me at the summit and with some of my group. October is a tremendously exciting month for Thriplow Primary School as the School is celebrating its 150th Year Anniversary. Hi folks, lots of news again, here goes.... 1. The pesky shop computer is (almost) fixed 2. 150 Club renewals due now 3. Meat is great value in the shop 4. Thriplow calendars are now on sale 5. Newspaper reservations 1. We had a problem with our computer This is now sorted, with just the receipt printer that needs to be fixed. We can give you big receipts, if you need one, from another printer. We're really sorry but the shop computer doesn't like the Monday morning feeling and is refusing to work today. It looks like a serious problem so we might not be able to fix it quickly and service will be slower until we fix it. We may also have to close the shop from time to time. Hi all, Daffodil Weekend 2014 will now be on 5th/6th April This is advanced warning to let you all know that the date for the 2014 Daffodil Weekend is moving from 22/23 March to the weekend of the 5th/6th April* This decision has not been taken lightly. Following extensive consultation the overwhelming feeling in the village is that a later date is preferred to maximise the chances of better weather.
