Please see attached poster for this year’s 5km fun run on 7th July, starts 11am on the Green in Thriplow. We did it! We completed the Challenge in just over 10 hours, well within our 12 hour target. We were very lucky to have glorious weather and all of us thought the challenge was a fantastic experience. A huge thank you to all of our sponsors who have surpassed our fundraising target! Village Message, BBQ on Saturday

Village BBQ, Saturday 15th June If you haven't got your tickets for the BBQ now is the time to get down to the Village Shop. A good number of tickets have been sold and the few remaining tickets are on sale at £6 per adult and £4 for children/concessions. Gathering from 5pm, the event kicks off with Games on the Green at 5.30pm. With four days to go there is plenty of time to hone your three-legged, egg & spoon and sack racing skills. Village Message about the 3 Peaks Walk next weekend

Just a quick reminder.... After so many years of boys' walking weekends, a small group of Thriplow mums, namely, Julie Bloom, Sarah Elgar, Caroline Harris, Katie Hilton, Lisa Maltpress and Ruth O’Sullivan, have decided to increase the challenge somewhat and walk the 3 Peaks Yorkshire Challenge, Pen-y-ghent (691m), Whernside (728m) & Ingleborough(723m), in under 12 hours. Below is a request from Pat Rowley for helpers with the Community Transport Scheme. Thriplow urgently needs a community driver or two, for the Community Transport Scheme. This service offers door to door transport for people who do not have the use of a car. The service is for people to get to Doctors, Hospital, Dentist or any other reason. The drivers are contacted by the office in Royston to see if they could or not do a particular journey for someone in the village. You get paid 50p a mile by the passenger, with ...Continue Reading
