Hi After a lot of discussion and negotiation, we have made our agreement with the tenants who will run the pub for at least the next three years, and a couple of weeks ago, we shook hands to celebrate the deal. The tenants will be Murmur Restaurants Ltd, run by Ben Maude and Alex Rushmer. Some of you will know that Ben and Alex run the Hole in the Wall in Little Wilbraham where they have been based for around 18 months. Just a quick word of thanks to the shop for selling Raffle tickets on behalf of Thriplow School Ball and all those who came into the shop to buy tickets. The School is very lucky to have so much support from the local community when they hold the Ball and this year was no exception with a record figure amount made of nearly £13,500. Bulb Planting - Saturday 10th November at 2:30pm We need volunteers to help plant daffodil bulbs in the village as part of the preparations for the 45th Thriplow Daffodil Weekend. We will meet outside the Green Man (with spade & wheelbarrow) at 2.30pm on Saturday 10th November 2012. The annual bulb planting helps to make sure the village looks at its best come March and is the time to plant new swathes and to fill in any gaps.
