Hi everyone We have commenced the process of purchasing the pub and we are also now searching for a tenant. Before the tenant gets on the scene we want to spruce up the accommodation above the pub a little. It consists of a large lounge and a large bedroom, a kitchen and a bathroom. All except the kitchen need decorating but they are empty of furniture and we will replace the flooring after we have decorated so we can make a bit of mess. WE NEED YOUR HELP! We will provide the materials, the tools and refreshments ...Continue Reading

Last year many visitors to Thriplow were keen to know the names of the daffodils in bloom over Daffodil Weekend. So this year a leaflet was produced showing a daffodil trail around the village. Here’s where we need your help please. Please take photographs of a clump of daffodils when they are at their best. It is also important for you to take a ...Continue Reading

Hi All I guess I should be addressing this email to all the fathers, grandfathers and offspring in the village!! Unfortunately this year’s Daffodil Weekend clashes with Mothering Sunday (Sunday 17 March) which means that as lots of our Mums will be busy serving teas and Dads will be parking cars and there will be very little time to spoil them as we would like. Also as far as the Green Man is concerned, they too miss out on one of their most popular events of the year. So, with Mary’s support, we have decided to ...Continue Reading
