I've just been told that the exhibition for the Solar Farm has been delayed until May 8th, the time will remain the same, 4-8pm. This has happened because the company distributing the leaflets advertising the meeting were unable to get them out in time. With the new date, there will be a full two weeks between advertising and the meeting, which should hopefully allow more people the opportunity to attend. See you all there, David Walston ...Continue Reading

Hi all, Daffodil Weekend 2014 Thank you so much for the huge effort that everyone made at this year’s event. Visitor numbers were good and that combined with a number of cost saving measures meant we achieved a profit initially estimated at £21,000*. Perhaps more importantly all of our visitors seemed to have a good time and judging by the smiles so did all of you helpers. We should be proud of our village and its quite outstanding sense of community. We tried a number of new things this year (changing th ...Continue Reading

Just a quick one as you are being bombarded just now! Obviously it will be busy in the shop this weekend. We still want you to collect your papers and other goods though and the best time to do this is before 11am on either day when the visitors start to make a queue form in the shop. And for those of you who live outside the village, it might be more difficult to get into the village, the later you leave it. Please come early! Kevin ...Continue Reading
